About

Originally from Sri Lanka, I have an undergraduate (LLB) in Law from the University of London, a master’s (LLM) degree in Socio-legal Studies from the University of Kent, and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cincinnati, where I also fulfilled the requirements for a cognate in Musicology at the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). I am currently an Audience and Message Research Manager with M+R and a freelance Research Consultant. Prior to this, I have worked in federal contracting, academia, and nonprofit.

In addition to my research interests, I am a freelance collaborative pianist, hold Associate (ATCL) and Licentiate (LTCL) diplomas in piano performance from Trinity College, London, and am a classically trained singer (lyric soprano). I also currently work part-time as the collaborative pianist at Bethany Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake, IL, and perform in the newly formed Crystal Keys Trio. Outside of my work, I enjoy cooking, board games, and caring for my fur-babies Katy and Teche.
